Following a summer of assessment visits, the Academy's members were invited to vote according to reports written by teams of Academicians.awards_badge

The Academy of Urbanism, an independent group that brings together experts from areas related to urban planning in Britain and Ireland, decided to give Lisbon, The European City of the Year 2012 award. It was voted by about 500 academics, distinguishing a set of best urban planning practices...
